This was not a purchase for fun. I needed this for school and it was the cheapest here so I bought it here. Used it for school and then no idea what haokened to it. I am sure it’s in the attic or flew out my window when I finished that class. LOL
Pro: cheaper than the new editionCon: it's missing a four page chapter on Emergancy that the new edition hasAlso the chapters don't match up
Content of the book is useful for my class. However, after only a few weeks of LIGHT USE the pages are already falling out. You can tell that the soft cover and binding are not high quality. I really expected more for an $80 textbook. Now I need to spend the rest of my course trying to keep the pages from falling out every time I use the book.
This rental stopped working, less than 1/3rd of the way through the rental period. I had to buy the new edition. I do not trust the idea of renting now, so I had to pay more to buy the new edition. I will not be renting any more books.
I'm already working as an RN and just wanted some tips to help me as a floor nurse. I've been an RN for over a year now, I have to manage 4 other people and deal with other issues from management and family members. I really, really like this book. I've learned a lot and I'm only 1/2 way through it. I did skip parts that I wasn't interested in, since I'm not using for school. Easy to read and gets to the point, for the most part.
very informative book. Reading flows well. Good reference book. Will hold onto it after my class is complete for further reference.
I mean what can I say? I had it for class.Although, if I could have afforded it vs renting, I would have bought it. It reads nicely and is informative with a lot of good advice.
This text is a basic nursing school book. It is not as good as Yoder-Wise's book and Kearney-Nunnelly's book on nursing leadership. The chapters in this book present the material as well as can be expected and the chapters are not overly long. Theories of leadership and management all start to run together and the different frameworks of organizations are not very exciting material to read.
